4/10
A colorful title for an utterly dreary giallo
30 January 2022
Riccardo Freda is an Italian director often cited for his style, however very little of it is in evidence in the admittedly wonderfully titled "Iguana With The Tongue Of Fire"; instead, we get the dullest police investigation scenes in history, and a few ludicrous red herrings (like a man cutting himself shaving but leaving the razor all bloodied up lying around!). And there is also the old "I know the killer but I can't tell you over the phone, I'll meet you later at....aaaaaaargh!" ploy. You may struggle to finish this film. *1/2 out of 4.
