The first episode was fun, despite being everythig but original and the woke warning bells ringing like crazy screaming female diversity and all man are dumb or evil every second.
The design and effects are cool and i loved the british scifi feel.
Then episode 2 turns everything into a beyond low budget thing we've seen a bilion times. All money must have been spent on the pilot episode. Visually its terrible.
Episodes 3 and 4 get repetitive and not much happens with character development or plot points that merrit any mention.
Then episode 5 suddenly becomes alive. Eleanor Tomlison character suddenly becomes the best wrtitten one out of the blue when before was just the worst and the presence of downton abbey philys Logan which had a great chemistry with tomlison made the series suddenly shine.
After that episodes 6, 7 and 8 brought more character development, the men became less dumb and the adventure became more fun and interesting from a pure space opera angle.
Then it got cancelled.
And im really sick and tired of these series that are produced with an open ending leaving everything incomplete hoping for a renovation which when it does not happen leave the viewer stranded.
I bought the bluray and i was hoping at least for a conclusion but now i can see there wont be one as this series will not get a second season to close the adventure.
Like it happened with another really fun space opera Vagrant Queen which i totally recommend suddenly the serie goes away exactly when its starting to become real fun.
Im going to only start watching series when completed from now on.

Not comparing intergalactic with GOT but if youre not sure if you get a second season at least give the viewers a decent conclusion of the test run season.
