The atmosphere felt unique and interesting, with all the Irish/Orkney-Island folklore and mythology. However, there just wasn't a whole lot of drama in this drama movie. We're told as an audience that we want this old family and you heroin to move back to the island and find their lost child family member, but the character's don't show enough emotional investment to make an audience care about what they want. The characters are all bland and unemotive in general, without any good dialogue or quirks to separate them. Overall: good setting, bad characters.
