Inner Sanctum was a decent horror/mystery tv series that appeared in the late 1940s before TV became universal in the US. Up to the late 40s, radio was king. These scripts were effective for radio, but TV scripts are another ballgame altogether. For example, this pilot for the Inner Sanctum might have been fine for radio, but on the big screen, a few actor reactions to a few statements can easily lead the viewer to figure out the plot in ten minutes or less like I did; it wasnt rocket science. There were only three suspects; the doctor, his secretary, and a rival for his wife. It was as simple as one of those door one two, or three puzzles. I am sure the viewers will figure it out quickly as well. Otherwise, it was an entertaining hour.
