Meera Chopra plays Aditi Acharya, an exceptional police officer battling demons of her past, who has been tasked with catching a serial killer involved in the killing of young women in the seedy redlight district of Mumbai.
One thing which binds the cases together is the presence of a scorpion tattoo on the hands of all three victims. She enlists the help of a local don, Prahar Pratap (Tanuj Virani) in solving the case. Does this case have a connection to Aditi's past especially since Prahar bhai know a little too much about it than required.
Meera & Tarun form an unlikely cop- thug alliance in this dark psychological thriller and are shine in their respective roles. Anang Desai & Kulbhushan kharbanda too give an earnest performance.
Though not in the same league as Aranyak or The last Hour, this one is still a decent watch giving the viewers a tour of the seedy underbelly of Mumbai and Kolkatas redlight districts. A bit on the darker side with some cringeworthy moments. Slick editing and a better storyline for seasoned actors like Kharbanda and Anang Desai was something that could've been worked better by the makers.
The Tattoo Murders is a 7 part series with each episode having a runtime of around 30 mins. Not a bad bingewatch option!!
I am going with a 3/5 for this one .. Adios !! 🙂
