I had wanted to watch Ardh Satya for a very long time because of the acclaim it received.
After watching it, I can see why it received such praise. Unlike a lot of other police dramas, this is not the story of an upstanding police officer. The main character is not even likeable at times, but he comes across as someone real. Someone who lashes out at people but can also be kind. Someone who makes mistakes, but can also recognize them and apologize.
The acting was excellent. This movie does not have a lot of chest thumping lines and at times, it was a frustrating watch, which is what I'm sure the director intended.
Overall, while it was not an enjoyable watch, it was a movie I greatly appreciated.
