I find this movie very cute and enjoyable. Those who did not like it might have had too high of an expectation of a movie starring Sophie Marceau. I liked Lisa, an attractive middle aged French lady - single and empty nested - who decided to hit the "reset button" on her life, left the old glamour of Paris for new exciting seductive Los Angeles. Her quest for love led to awkward encounters, as well as exciting romantic adventures. Sophie Marceau's charm is still evident in full, and she did a good job of making Lisa a vulnerable and sympathetic figure. Lisa's romantic adventures were part of a journey of self-discovery, of shedding the emotional baggage one too often unwittingly carries.
The movie is light and funny, and shots of the City of Angels are soothing to the eyes. Grab a glass of Bordeaux red ( to get into the full French spirit ), relax, laugh and sympathize with Lisa and her friend Luka.
