The Worst...

Warning: Spoilers
After watching "Agnes" I was irritated. I felt like I was intentionally duped into watching this movie based on the plot synopsis. I like horror movies and find horror movies about nuns and priests especially interesting. The trailer made it look like a possession horror movie. The beginning of the movie was OK with a nun named Agnes acting strange and seemed possessed. Nothing shocking or really creepy. A priest with problems and a younger not-yet-a-priest (why?) were sent to take care of this situation. I guess the writers wanted you to know there were issues within the church but they didn't go into what they were. After a failed exorcism by the priests, and another failed exorcism by a ridiculous fraud (again... not understanding why this priest thought this fraud could help) Agnes is shipped off to a mental health facility and we never see her again. So the title character was only in the movie for the first 15 min. And then was gone. The rest of the movie centered on Mary who was another young nun and friends with Agnes. She leaves the convent and tries to make it on her own. I'll just save any further explanation by saying the rest of the movie makes even less sense than the beginning. When the movie ends I found myself saying out loud, "That's it?" This movie fails in every way. Please don't waste your time.
