Probably the best Spanish-made film Sarita Montiel ever starred in. I remember my parents taking us to see these Spanish language films at an old movie theater in Washington Heights. One of my favorite memories. The story is about a rags-to-riches-to-rags-to happiness journey of an impoverished but highly talented singer. I found a good quality DVD-R. Otherwise this film is only on DVD or Blu-Ray in European format. It would be nice to see them available in the US in Region 1 format. Unfortunately these type of films don't seem to appeal to a non-Spanish speaking audience.
