After having just seen this, I can't understand where all the negative reviews are coming from. This is not a high budget Jerry Bruckheimer type action extravaganza but more of a 90s b-movie.
Pataky looks the part and handles herself adequately against most of the opponents and in general the fight scenes are good (the only fight which was completely unbelievable was with the massive guy at the beginning, he would have squashed her like a bug in real life - which they even admit via the "big boy" line). One thing that needs to be noted is the editing - no quick cut massacre à la Taken 3.
The story is... well... unrealistic and is riddled with holes but hey... this is not Shakespeare. The subplot about the abuse does not add anything and could have been left out. The appearance of a certain Nordic god was fun the first time, but gets tedious after the third appearance. The only thing that was really bad was the animation of the Russian missiles, those looked like they were pulled from the intro of a DOS-era Command & Conquer game...
All in all, a decent action flick. If you have time to spare and accept that you need to turn your brain off, give this a chance...
