In my opinion, the series started off slow. I had no f idea what Usagi is doing until the rest of the characters are gradually introduced. Interest starts to build up past episode three, where they are at the cultural center with the Yokai doing their hunting routine.
I also heard that this was a comic book and if they have the same yokai-hunting premise, I might consider digging into that as well. This is because I used to be a huge fan of a game called Yokai watch which them turned into an anime as well. Yokais have always fascinated me. This series is okay to me.
