Review of The Ledge

The Ledge (2022)
2/10
Pushing the viewer off the edge

Warning: Spoilers
It is one of those films that pretty much goes straight into the action scenes very early on. The protagonist is a struggling heroine that is coming to terms with something "traumatic". It is a road to rendition film that does not quite succeed in its quest. Instead it leads the audience down a one way path to an empty void of broken promises & delivered less than this!

The antagonist is the worst part of the film. I don't know if it is the actor or acting or the script or both. He is a caricature of "the evil antagonist" that gave me that shake-my-head moments throughout the film. It is insulting that the writers would think the audience would buy into this villain.

One could argue it is a lazy person's writing to introduce a character that is evil without giving him a credible back story that explains why he is that bad.

It beggars all belief in humanity that a character could be so poorly drawn that a stick figure would be considered a masterpiece compared to this. To call him a cartoon villain would be an insult to the artist. I'm sure you can get the gist of what I'm saying. Please avoid this unless you are accustomed to watching a below average films.
