Allegoria (2022)

An honest review: Aims for "Trick R Treat," lands on "Verotika."

Warning: Spoilers
There's a lot of folks on here talking about how bad the movie is, and not really giving a solid look at "Allegoria," the new film from Spider One.

I haven't seen his other films, but, to me, it seems that Spider is lacking a solid script editor. "Allegoria" goes through several layers of confusion before we get to what the meat of each story is about just in time for it to end.

Some of the stories work really well, such as the artist and his muse, and the script writer who is haunted by his slasher creation. The others don't.

Spider tried to tie all the stories together much like "Trick R Treat" did, but with the faulty writing, horrible lighting and sound that could have been easily fixed (there's a moment when one actress taps her mic and it wasn't fixed in post) the film falls somewhere around Glenn Danzig's heap of garbage "Verotika" and all those knock off films from the 2000's that were always the discounted movies at Blockbuster.

I know Spider is still working on his craft, as he is a musician first (I was a fan in high school), so I'm looking forward to his next movie and seeing how he progresses.
