Review of Wild Bill

Wild Bill (2011)
6/10
A little bit of east end realism.

Warning: Spoilers
After eight years in prison for drug related charges, Charlie Creed-Miles comes home to find his two children abandoned by their mother, and that's not a good way to start in life on the outside. This is a modern day British kitchen sink drama where the more dark and dismal the situation, the more angry it gets. It takes time for real character development to come into play, and the characters are all very dark souled and excessively desperate and unhappy. The realism is severe and there seems to be no light at the end of their tunnel, at least an honest light. This is the type of film that you have to be in the right mood for, with even the young characters filled with despair and hatred. Definitely not for viewers with severe depression issues.
