Patrick Still Lives (1980) is an Italian horror movie that I recently watched on a random streaming service. The storyline for this picture involves a young man who has an accident and is left in a coma. His father takes care of him in a clinic wing of his mansion. One day the father invites over five guests who are about to discover there's something special about the young man.
This movie is directed by Mario Landi (Giallo in Venice) and stars Sacha Pitoëff (Inferno), Gianni Dei (The Sins of Madame Bovary), Mariangela Giordano (Vengeance), Carmen Russo (The Porno Killer) and Andrea Belfiore (Blow Job).
This movie is absolutely wild. This has tremendous European ladies with a plethora of nudity, random bathing suits popping off and lots and soft porn elements. There's also remarkable horror elements starting with the opening accident and surgery scene. There's a crazy slap scene in this that happens to a girl wearing no underwear that surprised me. The props were really good and the special effects were well done, though the bleeding vagina was a bit much.
Overall this is a very unique film from this era that is a bit underrated and a must see. It reminded me a little bit of Thriller: A Cruel Picture mixed with Patrick. I would score this 6.5/10 and strongly recommend it.
