After consideration of what it wsd
7 September 2022
Other reviewers have said "fly on the wall" or "peeking through a window" which is the main impression of the film. It seems like brave directing and artful consideration to create a film that allows the viewer a glimpse into the lives of coming of age teens in the 1950s. Plot? No. Character development? Yes but subtle. It feels like the writers knew exactly what the 50s felt like for that age an setting with some nostalgia but mostly honesty. I can't think of another film set in this era that portrays accuracy to the point of painfulness and independent film sense like this one.

Bravo. But if you watch, try not to get hung up on typical Hollywood formula because you won't find it here.
