Don't answer the Door...

Writer/Director Lance Kawas bring us this highly entertaining Projection Legion.

Taking a chance and brilliantly done. Donald Cerone plays Greg Rourke, A former marine trapped in his apartment. What appears to be some out of control neighborhood at first turns out to be a goup of demons. What starts as banging and what he thinks is unruly neighbors just gets worse and worse. Outside is looks like an apocalyptic scenario. Fears is taking over and everything and everyone get weirder and weirder. His next door neighbor is especially haunting and really wants to come over. He seems to be battling this on his own and sought of the Last Man on Earth feeling.

The demons are closing in and he is trapped in his apartment. Will help arrive, will he find out what is going on.

It's hard to say too much about this movie without giving too much away. What starts off as your regular things gone wrong after a military secret discovery revealed and jump forward to Rourke and his girlfriend and buddies have a good ole time turns fast.

It was is a breath of fresh air on originality, it was cool to see a Demon take over for once. The demons are perfectly down and really scares the hell out of you. Perfectly photographed and directed this movie makes the most of his constricted setting. Shadows and lighting and sound are perfectly edited and really add too the movie.

Argento/Baba scream out here. I personally haven't been more on edge and delighted by a demon movie since I saw Demons back in the 80's. This did justice in the genre and is a great fall scare. Perfectly scheduled to come out now. I couldn't think of a better dark scary fall night paired with this.

It was nice seeing Donald Cerone in his first lead and really pull off a demanding role like this. He performs well in of course the fighting scenes. Perfectly choreographed. His girlfriend Brande Roderick has great chemistry and love her in every role she plays. A surprise for me was Kelly Lynn Reiter. I first noticed Kelly in Maneater and enjoyed her performance. She really gets to enjoy her part as Karen the neighbor and you will be screaming for more.

I am unsure and have to find out but when watching I felt the weird movements and acrobatics of the demons were professionally performed and not cgi. They were done to well and also what made this movie entertaining and haunting.

I will say and it's been awhile but I slept with the lights on.
