The seventies was the decade for plane hijacking so inevitably there would be a movie about one. In this decent though confusing effort Sean Connery plays Col. Tahlvik, who has to rescue passengers kidnapped on a plane in Scandinavia. The hijackers want the British Ambassador in return for the passengers safety, the Ambassador is held by another group of kidnappers on collaboration with them. Tahlvik makes many attempts to thwart the hijackers but is stopped every time. He has allow the Ambassadors kidnappers to join the aircraft. There is a passenger on the plane involved on the plot and he is arrested when the hostages are released. Tahlvik gets on the plane pretending to be said passenger. Whilst on the plane the hijackers are killed and the Ambassador is saved.
