An early Sophia Loren film with Anthony Quinn as Attila, not at all historically correct but interesting nevertheless, while Sophia Loren actually is at her worst, but it's not her fault but that of the lousy script. Quinn made this simultaneously with Fellini's "La strada", where he made a better performance and which was a better film, but as Attila he is nevertheless brutal enough and could be rather convincing, although Attila was no Irish-Mexican but rather more a Hun... This should be considered as something of a parenthesis of both careers, and probably none of them was very proud of it.
