A Christmas Crush (2019 TV Movie)
2/10
Cynical, mean-spiritedness takes center stage in aimless, dumpster fire of a script
7 November 2022
The main character tries to figure out how to undo an "activated" wish from a falling star. My girlfriend and I typically watch these movies. I will tell you now - SKIP this one. The script is a FLOP & it only gets worse from here.

NOT family friendly unless you want to encourage: -Mean-spirited script where "jokes" and conversations are based on being overly critical, cynical, hyper-sarcastic or making fun of another

-The primary female protagonist has ZERO boundaries nor knows how to speak up for herself in ANY sort of realistic way

-The film blasts into the toilet in the second half as Addie puts her career at risk due to her lack of being able to tell the stalker to get lost, and happily steps out of character toward mean-spiritedness

BONUS -The movie is filmed in a hotel (despite the gift-wrapped covered emergency exit back-of-door signs) and even boasts the line, "wait in your room for me" (what)

-Overdrawn lipstick in one of the date sequences was distracting at best and overdone filler work at worst, unfortunately (the makeup artist did not help to highlight her beauty in the best way)

-Peppy holiday music can't save this flick

-Sam and Addie have ZERO chemistry, the neighbor, Mrs. Morley is peppy & still cannot save the film

-Aimless plot that sucks your time without benefit of feeling great after watching

Please. Just skip it.
