Alright let me start off by saying superstore was a million times better in every way then this show . I loved blockbuster like many others and have some great memories .. i only found that heartwarming message at the end during the news broadcast the only redeeming quality of this show . It wasent funny and they tried too hard .. the manager who also played in fresh off the boat wasent made for this role .. he was made for the role he played on fresh off the boat .. that was his style , his niche .. they could have casted way better actors and actresses that would have made a difference. I dident laugh once .. not like superstore and that muffins scene with Sandra .. I was on the floor in tears !!! This show just doesn't deliver , they lack heart and soul and should have focused on the history , the memories , the movies .. also focusing more in the store and more geared toward the current times of that era ..
How you go from superstore to this , is beyond me.. and to put the nail in the coffin .. it's on Netflix !! The same company that put them under . Netflix is a company that doesn't care about who it brings down in the process to be on top and it shows .. blockbuster should have been a show about the message of simpler times , where streaming wasent so in your face .. the real human connection is gone .. streaming a movie or tv show with your buddy on FaceTime or other any app is not the same as renting a movie from the store and chilling at home with your buddies and kicking back on the couch sharing the laughs and the memories of just being in the same room..
On so many levels I worry about the future and how we're so quick to dissolve the things that once meant something to people, just because something else is easier and faster and more convenient doesn't mean it's better. Your losing more then your ever going to gain by taking away the things that make us human.
