Warning: Spoilers
Flashpoint was another film I finally got to see the ending. I remembered in the 80's watching Flashpoint and suddenly oh #### I forgot I got homework to finish off. In grade 10, I had a math teacher with a love of giving hundreds of math problems. Three hours later, I was done, but it got late and Flashpoint went back to video store. You will see it again? On late night I went to bed, bad cable reception, we watched the Jets game instead etc, and after several attempts I never saw the ending. The first three quarters of Flashpoint has Treat and Chris as a couple of good ol boys securing the Texas border. Drinking, good times, girls and sarcasms with the job make for a colorful story background, and great character development. The flashpoint, or story line stars when the border due discovered and a old jeep with a story behind it. The deep state agent come to town, with special orders with some well casted dark characters and dang Flashpoint became interesting. Covid lockdown and much spare time to down loading movies I finally got to see the crux, and climax of the mystery. Flashpoint was well acted and directed, but the ending was a bit dated. Gov agents in trench coast and no camos! Chris and Treat getting in a 80's showdown. I did like the conversation which explains the whole thing with the old timer. That tied the story up fine, but the end was just okay. Maybe my expectation could be too high after a 38 year wait! Worth watching once. In the Lone Star state I give Flashpoint 7 lone stars.
