I loved the premise for this show, that Alex wants to break away from being the downtrodden Taskmaster assistant and getting a TV show with his band. I think the dynamic between the band members is great and I especially enjoyed the scenes where they were rehearsing and just being themselves. The songs are silly and fun and there are lots of nods to Taskmaster throughout (I'm not sure I've found them all yet!).
There are plenty of storylines which lend themselves easily to a second series: the Tim Key character and his sneaky actions for example. Given that none of the band are actors I wasn't sure what to expect but I've already watched all the episodes twice so far to catch things I missed first time.
