Warning: Spoilers
As always, John Hughes delivers. What i love most about his movies is how realistic the teens are and this movie is no exception. They swear when not around adults, they make crude comments and they throw house sized parties. And of course pass notes. I like how the nerds fight to fit in. Nerds are cool today but not so much in these days. However Michael hall plays a likeable-and even-cool nerd. II love his casual glance at the camera when driving. Its basically the worst sweet 16 day you could imagine (but a fun trip for us!) As for Molly she does have alot of attitude. It doesn't destroy the film by any means but she is not for everyone. If you want a1980s real teen grit then this is your movie. If you where not around then and are curious what life was like for 80s teens for real you will enjoy this.
