Stuck with it for 20 minutes, during which time all the pc boxes were ticked, but Ashley Williams is now too old to play the fore-ever in your face cheerful and permanently grinning character. She recites her lines in a loud way, and practically dominates every scene.
We all like a feelgood Christmas film, but this had very little that we hadn't seen in other Hallmark films, so the scriptwriters have very little to do. I don't often give up before the first commercial break, but when Williams kept looking eyes wide and mouth even wider when anyone uttered a sentence, I decided that was enough. So the recording was deleted and I didn't waste another hour and 30 minutes.
