People are always seeking freedom
13 January 2023
The story of those seeking freedom during the French Revolution. From start to finish, it was a truly miserable story. "Les Miserables" is famous for its broadway musical. An overall dark and miserable scene progresses to the music. 2 hours and 38 minutes, it's like a musical. The music was good, so I didn't get bored with the long movie, but the whole city was dark and the people's expressions were dark as well, so I felt gloomy after watching it. What I noticed was that France had a national character of seeking freedom since the 1800s. I felt that there are many people who do not want to be slaves and want to live freely and in their own way. In fact, the Statue of Liberty in New York is said to have come from France, so it seems that France is a national character that strives for freedom. This movie is realistically portrayed in a timely manner. I thought it was enough to see it once, so I don't think I'll repeat it.
