Honestly I went in expecting nothing but the show it's pretty amazing, for the lovers of fantasy RPG it feels like watching a great campaign with funny badass characters, it does take some time to pay off on the magic side of things but It's the time they take to develop the characters personalities and relationships and that's what makes it even better because by the time we get some good action and magic sequences you already care for these people and their fates.
It also provide great representation that it's much much needed on the fantasy genre and it does it effortlessly.
And honestly, the effects are just fine and the cinematography of some scenes are amazing.
Truly hoping it gets a second season 'cause I'm really curious where they take things after that amazing season finale.
