Shockingly bad

Warning: Spoilers
What on earth have I just watched? I was drawn in by the name as I've played quite a bit of golf over the years. I'm not good but I enjoy it. The first few minutes gave me hope. I'm also a 50+ man who's had to change career later in life. I thought that might have put me in the demographic of who this movie might appeal to. How wrong I was? It is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. I can remember a movie that's gotten me so angry before. The protagonist trys to better himself and his wife gives him nothing but grief and when he succeeds she tells him he's being selfish. He's sends her his winnings and she gives it away and still manages to make him feel guilty about it. The golf scenes are badly shot. The hole used for the tee shot on the 1st hole in one of the competitions is the same as the 17th tee shot! That's lazy filmmaking. Another red flag to me is the santa Claus scene. I work as a Santa Claus. Have done for 8 years. Granted, I have a real beard but I work with alot of Santa's that use fake beards. There is no way on earth a wife would not recognise a husband dressed up as a Santa Claus. Finally, the priest, the priest, the priest. I'm an Irish Catholic. My uncle is a priest. The priests admission at the end that he snuck into the house and put the golf clubs in the living room for the man to find. Priests don't sneak into people's houses with golf clubs. Absolutely ridiculous.

Then there is the wind bending the flag in the hole right over and none of the trees in the background moving at all. Also the scene where it was lashing rain on the course and yet the golfers hat was bone dry.

I'm sure I could find more problems with this movie but I refuse to watch it again.
