Brilliant Dual Performance Amongst an Entrancing Sorrounding

A stunning performance by two brilliant actors. The dual with the magical city of Paris on the line was visceral, whole-heartedly believable and utterly captivating. Why he let him stay in the room the whole time was constantly on my mind as the film played out. The surroundings were bizarrely normal, as events of such magnitude can at times seem. The severity of the situation intermingled with the normality of two men disagreeing, even helping each other. The diplomacy of the conversation between a man with a Jewish wife and a Nazi general was striking. The diplomat somehow maintaining such poise and agreeableness was an inspiration. The results displayed the effectiveness of such great focus in times of crisis.
