"Miracle Beach" is like a love fantasy movie from the '50s, updated, barely, with a few breasts the movie doesn't even show very well.

The nudity in the flick is an after-thought, incidental, and shown as though trying hard not to arouse the audience. It feels embarrassed by it.

This is funny of course because the only reason why anyone would watch this movie today or when it was made is to see fake-tanned, weird-shaped, odd-nipple-having early '90s breasts.

The plot: a loveable loser gets a genie to make him the kind of guy who would have a chance with the British beach babe he has a thing for. Along the way, the genie, played by Monkee-offspring babe Ami Dolenz, falls in love with the guy herself, leading to the oldest "looking for love" plot structure in history, ie. Guy wants out-of-his-league girl, scores with her but realises he should have gone with the babe-next-door instead.

The movie just gets boring and is never really all that entertaining despite Dean Cameron's undeniable charisma. I was wondering if he might be America's Robin Askwith, ie. Only guy famous for roles in silly dated boob comedies. According to IMDB though, he's only been in a few of those, ie. "Summer School", "Ski School", and this movie.

He also thinks this movie killed his career.

It's not that bad, as far as they go, but it's not that good, either. It's pretty boring and I was just waiting for it to end.
