Formulaic and tedious. The first movie was ok, but the others are about as scary as Scooby Doo! Horror movies need to play with your mind. Jump scares went out of date with the man popping out of the boat in Jaws. We expect them. Get us thinking about our perceptions of reality, of life and death. I don't believe in the paranormal. We may die and get recycled in some way, but I don't think we hang around trying to scare people. The night is the day without light. Nothing more, nothing less. Give us something to be scared of. Give us a story. Come on Hollywood. Wake up and give us something new!!!
