I am not even going to pretend I fully understood this film. It was brilliant but I did get a little lost in what the message if any was supposed to be. In the vein of Mad God and Eraserhead, this is a visually arresting movie. The music was brilliant although at times, I think it became a little strident but it really helped set the mood and tone.
The film is very disturbing with some real nightmare fuel. The spider and the skull headed bird and what the mice were doing to the doll became downright disturbing.
This is a movie filled with imagination but some very strange imagery. It is worth watching though for something different.
