Charming movie about aging and intergenerational conflict
23 April 2023
This one sounded silly but I rather enjoyed it. I laughed a lot. And DeNiro was spot on. Strong supporting cast. Nice to see Thurman for the first time in a while. Walken and Marin and Riddle give great support along with Seymour as the obligatory love interest. The pranks were hilarious and well done. The kids were believable. None of it to me was overplayed. It felt like the kind of thing that happens with families. I just sat back and enjoyed every minute. Not going to win any Oscars, but a really entertaining escape with no profanity and mild violence for a family, adults and kids, alike, and these days, let's face it, those are hard to find. Highly recommended.
