There should be a minimal threshold where movies are axed due to lack of content. Aren't there industry standards, base line quality checks of some sort? Surely most viewers felt cheated of an hour+ of their time with the snail-paced momentum, waiting for something to happen. Yet, it might be an acceptable film offered as a short of 12-18 minutes, to an abbreviated audience. This because of the thin plot line: Here, a shut-in mute boy raises (not-so-credible) specters in his small apartment, while his dad is at work. That's about it. Except for the extreme violence. The child is exposed to graphic suicide with guns/knives etc. Well, in the US, we accept this in the horror genre if there's compelling reason. Such is missing. Summary: Too long, too violent, lacks substance.
