Not specifically a movie rather a compilation of several short episodes - each episode featuring several relatable day-to-day storylines and some episode solely focuses on certain members of Yamada family. All the characters had their own screen time except Nanako. Meanwhile the dad and mom had the most screen times.
Very reminiscene of 90's slice of life animes like Chibi Maruko Chan and Atashinchi. The color pallete reminded me of Crayon Shin Chan meanwhile the characters were very similar to Doraemon characters.
Definitely not the usual studio ghibli's animation style but surprisingly i like it a lot - maybe due to nostalgic factor. The scores were okay and perfect voice castings. The sound effects were great and the original song was not bad actually.
For me, plotwise its something for everyone although i dont find any kids would tune into it. Some aspects of this movie were a bit inappropriate for today's generation - underage drinking alcohol, very toxic masculinity-ish, etc. Despite that, some aspects were educational like not talking to strangers when get lost or the talk about marriages on the intro as well as on the near ending.
