Having lived in the Basque Country for more than 40 years, I must admit this film brought tears to my eyes. It kept a remarkable balance between the natural sympathy we feel towards the victim's family and the humanity and repentance of the perpetrators, who themselves were victims to a large extent of the organisation ETA they belonged to, having joined it when they were young and influenceable and then caught like cogs in a machine. The final scene where both the perpetrator together with the family and friends of the victim were both singing the same Basque song "Nun dago", a well-known song from here, reminds us that both sides were Basque, one believed in peaceful ways to change things, the other in violence.
