The characters here are not funny or sweet or crazy, they are just annoying. Bad persons lying to their families in absurd situations. The novel "Maria, ihm schmeckt's nicht" is very funny and shows the problematic of one family from Germany meeting another family from Italy. But this continuation has nothing to do with German or Italian traditions. That's here forgotten and the movie is a group of "wanna be funny" scenes. At the end they tried to make an American rom com, loosing on the way the things that made this story lovable on the first part.
