Another great/cultic Eberhofer-crime story, again filled with wonderful, quirky, strange, hilarious characters and situations, a thrilling case and - finally - Ludwig, the cute Eberhofer-dog. No wonder this series is so incredibly successful, besides the great story and cast there is the beautiful camera work and a fitting score. The characters sometimes remind me of Shameless, since there are no boundaries, they drink, they smoke, there is politically incorrect talk, etc., but it is never obscene and close to life and raw and real, this is what entertains and is fun and true. Like in the other installments there is the wonderful granny again, the pretty and (by Franz) grief-stricken Susi, and moreover, this part has the wonderful Monika Gruber (known, amongst many other formats, from the equally wonderful Hubert and Staller show) in it. Sensitive souls be warned, this part is the most gory one, the first movie for example was less bloody (and maybe a bit funnier), but this is the first with the wonderful Ludwig, so I would prefer this one. As always the musical clips are both funny and a good way to fight body-shaming (just watch them all). The fourth movie is probably the best all in all, but you cannot go wrong with any of the so far 8 soon 9 Eberhofer-movies.
