Review of A Nightmare on Elm Street

This movie definitely creates a more realistic aspect to the character and movies and brings a new challenge they are faced with. The dream sequences aren't as intense with how world bending they are. In the originals, the dream sequences would sometimes have structures and rooms that look more Sci-Fi than anything (not saying I didn't like it, I loved it). But this movie is more subtle with the effects and show a more dark side to the nightmares that make it more relatable. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't think of huge staircases and haunted mansions when I have nightmares, I dream about places I know or places that seem scary to me. This movie is definitely more realistic.
