I loved seeing Ellen Barkin and Pierce Brosnan as such a dynamic couple in this film...but Adam Devine really stole the show as the ever positive character Owen.
Owen who is a bank manager finally gets to meet his fiancé's parents...and he learns almost immediately that they are bank robbers, when they steal from Owen's bank.
There is some pretty great comedy writing along with a surprising amount of action in this film. Nina Dobrev is lovely as Owen's yoga instructor fiancé...although at first they seemed a bit of a mismatch, it is hard not to see how Owen's positivity wouldn't charm everyone. Michael Rooker plays the quirky FBI agent investigating the initial bank robbery and he does so with aplomb. He has wonderful chemistry with Richard Kind, who was perfectly cast as Owen's father. Richard Kind is the second biggest scene stealer next to Adam Devine!
The execution and ending were great, but I recommend watching the film for both the great comedic performances and the writing which was delightfully left of center.
