6/10
Polka Your Way to Laughter!
12 October 2023
You know you're in for a wild ride when the subject is "Weird Al" Yankovic, and this biopic delivers the quirk and comedy in spades. It's like a musical comedy sandwich, with accordion solos as the bread!

The casting is on point, and Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al is shockingly convincing. He nails the ridiculousness and the goofiness of the legend himself. The supporting cast? Hilarious. Some laugh-out-loud moments in there.

Now, the downside? The pacing is a bit uneven. It's like a medley of Al's greatest hits, jumping through his life at a rapid pace. It leaves you wanting more depth, like an extended version of 'Eat It.'

But hey, if you're a fan, you'll be singing 'Amish Paradise' in your head for days. And if you're not, you might just find yourself wanting to don a Hawaiian shirt and pick up the accordion.

In the end, I give it a solid 6/10. Not quite the 'White & Nerdy' of biopics, but definitely worth a watch. So, "Just Eat It" (the popcorn), and enjoy the weirdness!"
