Kenny vs. Spenny (2002–2010)
10/10
In a sublime comedy realm that was too rude for classic TV... and still too rude for YouTube!

I've been watching this show, again and again, for at least 13 years. Sometimes back to back, for weeks at a time. Unlike a lot of other shows, Kenny vs Spenny has episodes later in the series, where ideas spawned much earlier on, sometimes in commentary track episodes. To fans, these easter eggs are golden nuggets. We get to watch comedy seeds be sewn into existence, before years later they deliver some of the most absurdly insane, yet genius level caliber, of comedy, that pays off with uproarious laughter, time and time again.

For years, Freddy Got Fingered has remained my favorite comedy film. It stands at the top of the mountain. 7 Days In Hell, Orgazmo, Spaceballs, How High, and Scary Movie 3, would be some others that are all upper echelon too. I have to say, Kenny vs Spenny would be my favorite comedy TV show ever made. It exists on that same Tom Green - Freddy Got Fingered stratosphere level of pure unadulterated comedy genius. To give you an idea of how off the wall Kenny vs Spenny seems, even to Spenny, it can be summed up with a quote from Spenny while he was talking to Kenny, "How do you even think of these things? Honestly, you could put me in a think tank for 6 years and I wouldn't come up with eating some guy's pubes."

Kenny vs Spenny won't be for everyone. I'm fine with that. In fact, in one of the episodes, before a humiliation, Kenny addresses that very fact, that what was about to happen would be 'shocking to some old lady flicking the channels'. I would normally recommend you start with this episode or that episode, however, if you're a fan of comedy, you'll come to watch it so many times, and some of the jokes in later seasons, truly pay off in ways you can't even begin to imagine, if you've watched the earlier seasons.

I would recommend Kenny vs Spenny to anyone interested in comedy. My advice to them would be start with a few episodes in season one, then buckle up, buckaroo, because you're about to experience comedy like you never knew existed. Enjoy!
