Zodiac (2007)

Eager for More

From what I have read, this film did a great job of sticking to the facts and following the "true story" source material. A double edged sword, this made "Zodiac" fascinating and upsetting at the same time. There were moments when I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, which were then followed by the anti-climactic "6 Months Later" or "One Year Later" title cards.

The film is creepy, intriguing and compelling. As someone who went into the movie with minimal exposure to the true story, I found myself enveloped in the case just like Graysmith. A little more closure would have been nice, but who am I to rewrite history?

Best Character: Paul Avery Best Quote: "Not many people have basements in California." - Robert Best Scene: "The Basement" (clearly) Best Piece of Score: "Dare to Dream"
