Wow, Those Legs Made Me Laugh!

Golda

It must be said, like All The Presidents Men or Brexit, or any number of political movies, the subject matter for this sort of movie is dry as dust at the outset. So we must never be too harsh to judge the movie as boring or slow if it represents a biopic of a real person, as most people's lives are full of mundane activities.

Helen Mirren was Golda, we had all the mannerisms, it was brilliant, as a funny aside the face prosthetics and make up were utterly convincing however the legs made me laugh, they looked like padded leggings or very badly made sausages. (Well, you have to cut the budget somewhere). Helen was of course great but the whole project wasn't worth wasting her talent on!

The director did a good job but he was often just to close with the camera, I do not want to spend hours up Helen Mirren's left nostril. I did like the odd gag or two and clearly the real Golda had a good sense of humour.

I'm giving this 6 outta 10, I am glad I watched it, I'm just not sure why it was made in the first place.
