Review of See You on Venus

I haven't read the book or heard of it either, so I'm coming from an unaware place. But the acting was so terrible I couldn't sit through the entire movie. It was so animated and unrealistic. Or am I missing something here? Please someone explain! The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, almost as if the script was an afterthought. The character development seemed shallow, lacking depth and nuance. Scenes that were probably meant to be impactful came off as comical due to poor execution. It's like the director prioritized style over substance, leading to a disjointed narrative flow. The cinematography, while visually appealing, couldn't compensate for the lack of a coherent storyline. It's disappointing because with a better approach, the film had the potential to be engaging. It's a classic example of how crucial good direction and scripting are in translating a story from page to screen.
