Brooke (Agnes Albright) and Tanner (Andrew Bailes) photograph abandoned buildings as if they believe it is a thing of interest. CJ (Caito Aase) drives them around. As they film two different homes in the Milwaukee area, we discover Tanner has a "normal" fear of scarecrows. Brooke has Daddy issues. She feels responsible for her father's suicide and blamed by everyone. The third place on the list is the Franklin Hill government facility that worked with microbes. Here they run into a man (Jeremy Holm) who believes "them" is after him. He is not trusting and things escalate.
