I saw this movie with my teenagers of 14 and 16 years age. They found it very interesting, and there was a lot about the civilian effort in the sea (from Norwegians in particular) that they didn't know from before.
Me, however, who is a film buff was quite disappointed.
Too many random technical and tactical blunders (like the submarine surfacing completely in the middle of the convoy) ruined the "war" aspect of this film for me.
The drama part, the friction between the captain and his 2nd in command was just not intense enough to leave me with a strong impression of a quality movie.
The movie would however be great for youth who can benefit from learning about this topic from a feature film.
