Oh, Home Alone. It's' a Christmas classic and for good reason. This film is a tale of two halves: the first is about a naughty boy who thinks his family disappeared, the second is the brutal beatdown that he gives to a couple of burglars. I find a lot of enjoyment during both parts of the narrative. Kevin's gradual regret about his "Christmas wish" is tender to watch, specifically when it comes to the relationship with his mother.
The humor in this movie is phenomenal. From the destruction of Buzz's room to Kevin's quippy remarks at the grocery store, Macaulay Culkin crushes his performance. Across the board, one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time, even though I like the 2nd one more.
