Even if you're relieved to put that moment behind you, a part of you longs to go back there and daydreams about becoming lost in it.

Teasing Master Takagi-san depicts the lives of people going through their first romantic connection or being enamored with someone. It looks at the chemistry between Takagi and Nishitaka and reveals how they view relationships. The show takes a unique approach to their relationship by using jokes to move into more serious subjects.

Due to their disparate characteristics, there are a plethora of issues that come up when two conflicting personalities try to align. While these distinctions might cause a gap in relationships, they can also make them stronger because differing personalities often bring out shared interests. Although the majority of romance novels choose to explore these shared interests, Teasing Master Takagi-san virtually completely disregards this endeavor. Rather, it prioritizes the motivations behind these characters' attraction to one another and their ways of thinking. In particular, it values these notions as they pertain to Nishitaka.

Teasing Master Takagi-san revolves around Nishitaka's series of pranks and attempts to outwit and taunt Takagi. He makes elaborate plans or finds solutions to Takagi's issues in an attempt to confound her. Through music and animation, Nishitaka analyzes the intricacy of barriers in the presentation. He sees these practical jokes as cerebral combat in which every decision one makes determines their destiny.

Although Nishitaka's failures remain the same, it is clear that he is deeply concerned with outwitting Takagi. Like Sisyphus, he is a perpetual seeker of happiness. Nishitaka is talented, but his limitations due to his present situation keep him from competing against other people. He's intelligent, but not nearly as smart as the title character.

You won't be let down if you fell in love with this series after its well-known "critical hit". There will be a ton of growth in both Nishikata and Takagi in Season 3. Her taunting, which was originally innocent and pure, would gradually transform from a close friendship into true love. Not that she didn't love him before, but this season she will be making more overt indications of her feelings. Furthermore, despite the fact that Nishikata is as smart as any typical romantic comedy lead, it seems natural that he initially rejects the clear indications because he is still a child. However, as the season goes on, he will finally begin to express reservations about both her and his affections.
