I saw Drive_Away Dolls, starring Margaret Qualley-Poor Things, The Leftovers_tv; Geraldine Viswanathan-Miracle Workers, Blockers; Beanie Feldstein-Booksmart, Lady Bird and Colman Domingo-Fear the Walking Dead_tv, Candyman_2021.
This is a funny road trip movie directed by Ethan Coen-True Grit_2010, No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski-for the first time, without his brother Joel. Margaret & Geraldine are lesbian friends that want a change in their lives and decide to take a road trip to Tallahassee, Florida. They rent a drive away car-you are hired to drive someone else's car on their behalf-which was supposed to be for Colman with a brief case and a box in the trunk. I won't tell you what is in the brief case-it's not drugs or money-but the box has a severed head in it. Colman is, of course, mad and sends his goons after his stuff. Beanie is a cop that is also a friend of Margarets & Geraldines. There are a few nice cameos. I remember seeing Pedro Pascal, Matt Damon & Miley Cyrus.
It's rated R for violence, language and sexual content-including nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 24 minutes.
I enjoyed this one and would buy it on DVD.
